Set in 16,000 m2 of land and planted with mandarins, lemons, quince and pomegranate trees, this is a truly beautiful location on the river.
We are situated at the end of a no-through road dotted with farmhouses in a friendly Catalan farming community. Our land is ideal for growing fruit and vegetables because of the nutrients in the soil. It is 2.5 km to the centre of Tortosa (population 44,000) which offers many shops, restaurants, café’s and local businesses. The local train station is 5 minutes by car with rail links to nearby beaches on the Costa Dorado and cities like Barcelona and Valencia.

The house faces south and has views of the river from each bedroom (see our floor plan for the layout of the rooms). This is a stone built farmhouse that cannot be dated and is therefore listed as being built pre-1951 but is probably more than 100 years old. The house décor is suited to country living with good quality red tiled floors throughout. All the windows on the ground floor are recessed and shuttered (the walls of the house are 50cm thick) which allows the house to remain cool in the summer and retain its heat in the winter. At the front of the house is a large paved courtyard where 4 cars can easily park.

The garage was once integral to the house and has an old stone oven built into the wall which indicates it was once used as a kitchen.
